ISEQ down almost 5%

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed at 2,450.19, down 120.39 points, a drop of 4.68%.

The banks were once again the main sufferers. Following Bank of Ireland's descent below the €1 mark yesterday, Anglo Irish Bank followed suit, down 28c to 93c, though BOI did rally slightly, up 10c to 93c.
