British newspaper group Trinity Mirror fuelled fears of more job losses today after it announced plans to deliver additional cost savings.

The publisher of British and Irish editions of the Daily Mirror as well as regional newspapers confirmed it had axed 28 local titles so far this year and “could not rule out” more staff reductions as it upped 2008 cost-cutting plans by £5m (€5.9m)
