The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 3,033.24, up 3.78 points, at 11.15am this morning, despite warnings of an EU-wide recession.

ISEQ marginally up in early trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 3,033.24, up 3.78 points, at 11.15am this morning, despite warnings of an EU-wide recession.

All of the major banks were down - AIB was €4.24, down 3c, Anglo Irish Bank was also down 3c to €2.47, Bank of Ireland was down 1c to €2.20 and Irish Life & Permanent was the biggest faller, down 26c to €2.44, a fall of 9.63%.
