Share prices soar on ISEQ, European, Asian and US markets

Share prices have soared today, with European, Asian and US markets all experiencing a much-needed boost.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up nearly 6.5% on closing this evening, while London's FTSE closed up 8%.

Meanwhile, the US Federal Reserve is expected to announce a further cut in interest rates this evening.

The European Central Bank is expected to follow suit and slash its key lending rates in the next few weeks.
