Iseq down 6% at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed at 2,726.65, a drop of 188.9 or 6.45%.

All of the main banks were hit, with AIB down 33c to €3.39, Anglo Irish Bank was down 27c to €1.80, Bank of Ireland was also down 27c to €1.65 - a fall of 14% - and Irish Life & Permanent was down 30c to €3.55
