The Irish Stock Exchange stabilised after recent turmoil today, as the ISEQ index lost just 10.20 points to finish on 4,558.85.

The financials, which have taken a hammering of late, avoided any heavy losses. Bank of Ireland even showed a small gain, inching up 3c to €5.90. Elsewhere, banks will be relatively happy as Irish Life And Permanent shed 12c to €7.16, Anglo Irish Bank was down 10c to €5.70 and Allied Irish Banks slipped 5c to €8.75.
