The price of oil jumped by almost six dollars a barrel yesterday, as a sliding dollar and anxiety about a new cold war between Russia and the west prompted investors to buy commodities.
US crude was up 26c to $121.44 a barrel this morning, having risen $5.62 on yesterday.
