Unions prepare to serve pay claims

Unions are preparing to serve pay claims on individual employers this week, after negotiations on a new national wage agreement collapsed at the weekend.

The talks broke down in the early hours of Saturday morning, after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on a pay deal involving a proposed six-month pay freeze.
