Businesses in Ireland are buying more land and machinery despite the slowdown in the economy, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

Businesses in Ireland are buying more land and machinery despite the slowdown in the economy, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO says almost €1bn worth of machinery was bought in the first quarter of this year, compared to €713m in the same period in 2007.
