ISEQ down again

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down today, falling 69.33 points to 4863.23.

Ryanair say their traffic rise 19% in June but despite this the company’s share price was down €0.23 to €2.41.

Elsewhere Readymix plc has said it expects to record before-tax losses of about €10m for the first six months of the year. The losses include €2.7m of one-off costs associated with the reshaping of the business, the company said today. The company’s share price was down €0.05 to €0.75.

The financial institutions were heavily hit during the day’s trading.

AIB slipped €0.38 to €9.20 while Anglo dropped €0.22 to €5.45.

IL&P was down €0.10 to € €5.95 while BoI fell €0.30 to €5.18.
