The Irish Stock Exchange continued its downward trend today, dropping 33.92 points to 5,196.92 by mid-morning.

The Irish Stock Exchange continued its downward trend today, dropping 33.92 points to 5,196.92 by mid-morning.

The financials all lost ground. Irish Life And Permanent was the biggest faller, down 17c to €7.79. Anglo Irish Bank fell 1c to €6.39. Allied Irish Banks and Bank of Ireland both shed 9c to €9.41 and €5.81 respectively.
