ISEQ inches up

The ISEQ index of Irish shares has inched up 4.79 points to 5,630.94 in early trading this morning.

There was mixed trading for the financial sector. Irish Life And Permanent was the best performer, rising 12c to €9.64. Anglo Irish Bank also did well, up 8c to €7.04. Allied Irish Banks was almost static, shedding 1c to €11.20. Bank of Ireland declined 13c to €6.90.
