Oil prices race past $121 a barrell

Oil prices surged to another new record today above the $121 US a barrel mark as supply concerns continued to dominate the market.

Light, sweet crude for June delivery rose to $121.49 dollars on the New York Mercantile Exchange before settling back less than half a cent.
