ISEQ finishes the day 32 points lower

The ISEQ index of Irish shares finished the day down 32.73 points to 5,956.55.

The financial sector was a major contributor to the downturn with Allied Irish Bank down 1.39%, falling 18c to €12.77 and Irish Life & Permanent down 13c to €11.25. Anglo Irish Bank bucked the trend as it climbed 16c to €7.89.
