The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down this morning by 2.81 points to 6202.50.
The financial institutions had a bad start to the day with Irish Life and Permanent one of the worst performers, plummeting 20c to €11.60. Bank of Ireland dropped 6c to €9.26 with Anglo Irish Bank down 3c to €8.02. AIB had a slightly better start to the day up 7c to €13.47.
