Inflation rate hits 5% amid ongoing price increases

Ireland's annual inflation rate has jumped again over the past month due to increases in oil prices, air fares, clothing, footwear and mortgage repayments.

The CSO says average prices rose by 0.9% during March, pushing the annual rate of inflation up from 4.8% to 5%.
