BT launches energy pilot

Telecoms giant BT has launched a pilot scheme aimed at generating power for some of its equipment with wind and solar energy, it was announced today.

Two micro wind turbines and solar panels have been installed on the roof of one of the firm’s buildings in London, as part of BT’s aim of reducing its carbon consumption by 80% by 2016.
