1800hotels.ie anounces expansion plans

Travel company 1800hotels.ie has today announced a new business partnership with Travco and Manor House Hotels.

The deals brings the number of hotels offered worldwide to more than 70,000 and a projected turnover of €10m over the next 5 years.

Travco is a global brand with 25 offices worldwide and the deal with 1800hotels.ie offers Irish people access to discounts of up to 60% on thousands of hotels and apartments around the world, the company has claimed.

Further expansion includes a new deal with Manor House Hotel Group which adds 50 Irish boutique and independent hotels, includes the Brooke Lodge Hotel in Wicklow and Abbey Glen Castle in Clifdon.

Last year’s target turnover of €17m for 1800hotels.ie was achieved and this year’s target of €30m is well on track, according to the company.

“We are really delighted with the deal with Travco, adding affordable quality hotels to our extensive worldwide portfolio,” said managing director Graham Peakin.

“It also extends our offering into developing visitor markets like Russia and South America. With the two new offices we are looking to aggressively target the UK and European markets and the addition of the Manor House Hotel Group is important to our long-term plan, from an inward bound perspective.

“All this demonstrates our continued commitment to offering our clients even greater choice, at the best price, across the world and in Ireland.”
