ISEQ in negative territory

The ISEQ-index of Irish shares continued its freefall this afternoon slipping 57.78 ponts to 6477.92 by close this evening.

Within the financial sector, AIB and Anglo Irish Bank suffered a similar fate dropping 35c to €13.29 and €9.15 respectively. Irish Life and Permanent fared slightly better, down 13c to €10.25, as did Bank of Ireland down 12c to €9.32.
