The ISEQ-index of Irish shares struggled to prevent further losses this morning and dipped just 4.62 points to 6452.07.
The banks failed to stave off heavier losses as IL&P saw 30c wiped off its share price to €10.15. Anglo Irish fell 23c at €9.52 while AIB lost 27c at €14.20.
