ISEQ rallies to a close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed in positive territory this evening, up 90.34 points to 6577.87.

On a mixed day for the financial stocks AIB dropped 1c to €14.89, as did Bank of Ireland down 4c to €9.28. Irish Life and Permanent bucked the negative trend, gaining 20c to €10.40. Anglo Irish Bank was up a modest 6c to €9.18.
