National Irish Bank has today predicted that 10,000 jobs will be lost in the construction sector this year due to the downturn in the property market.

National Irish Bank has today predicted that 10,000 jobs will be lost in the construction sector this year due to the downturn in the property market.

In its latest quarterly economic outlook, the bank says it expects the property slump to be the biggest drag on the economy in 2008.
