Broadband penetration at 18.4%: Eircom

Eircom has said an additional 19 exchanges, representing 13,000 working lines, have been broadband-enabled this week.

In 2007, a total of 103 exchanges, with more than 65,000 working lines, were enabled nationwide, the company said today, meaning there are now more than 1.4 million working telephone lines in Ireland that can support broadband.
