Inflation back up to 5%

The annual rate of inflation increased to 5.0%, up from 4.8% in October 2007, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) today.

Consumer prices in November, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased by 0.6% in the month. This compares to an increase of 0.3% in November of last year.
