Libya agreed to buy 21 Airbus planes in a contract signed in France today in the presence of visiting Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi and French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Libya agreed to buy 21 Airbus planes in a contract signed in France today in the presence of visiting Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi and French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Under the deal, Airbus will supply 10 A350s, four of its A330s and seven A320 jets. The value of the deal was not immediately given.
