Economists call for Minister to reform stamp duty

Economists said today the Minister for Finance needs to reform stamp duty in the next budget in order to give the economy a chance to recover.

In its latest report, Goodbody Stockbrokers said that house prices will fall by 8% next year - and by the end of 2008 they'll have dropped 13% compared with 2006 prices.
