The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in freefall this morning, plummeting 113.55 points to 7797.60.
The two main losers, outside of the financials, during the start of the day were building group CRH, dropping €0.39 to €25.95, and insurance group FBD, which fell €0.35 to €24.44.
