Bank of Ireland has today issued an upbeat trading statement ahead of its close period for the half-year ending September 30, 2007.

Bank of Ireland has today issued an upbeat trading statement ahead of its close period for the half-year ending September 30, 2007.

The bank expect to grow underlying earnings per share (EPS) by around 10% on an underlying EPS of 73 cent for the half-year to 30 September 2006, and profit before tax to grow by circa 12% on a similar basis.
