ISEQ makes steady gains

The ISEQ-index of Irish shares made steady gains this morning climbing an impressive 280.51 points to 7892.19.

The financial heavyweights all made significant moves with AIB clocking up the best performance with a gain of €1.11 to €17.49. Anglo Irish Bank weren't far behind up 65c to €13 as was Bank of Ireland up 60c to €11.85. Irish Life and Permanent followed the positive trend gaining 29c to €15.22.
