Banking giant Lloyds TSB posted profits of nearly £2bn (€2.9bn) today despite a sharp rise in insurance claims following the recent floods chaos in the UK.
The company reported profits of £1.99bn (€2.94bn) for the first six months of the year, in line with expectations.
