Manufacturing industry indicator shows positive movement

There was further improvement in the manufacturing industry in May, according to the seasonally adjusted NCB Purchasing Managers’ Index.

The index is an indicator designed to provide a single-figure measure of the economic health of the manufacturing industry. It registered 51.9 in May, signalling a further improvement in operating conditions in the Irish manufacturing sector.
