Mobile phone giant Vodafone has sacked a senior manager in the Republic of Ireland after an alleged €1m fraud was exposed, it was confirmed today.

Mobile phone giant Vodafone has sacked a senior manager in the Republic of Ireland after an alleged €1m fraud was exposed, it was confirmed today.

The multinational said an employee at its headquarters in Dublin had been dismissed in March following an investigation into allegations he used company funds to buy goods from suppliers.
