Central Bank issues optimistic outlook for Irish economy

The outlook for the Irish economy remains optimistic, according to the latest quarterly assessment from the Central Bank.

The bank is predicting that the economy will grow by 4% in the next 12 months before beginning to slow down in 2008.

It also says unemployment will remain low, but inflation looks set to continue above the European average due to Ireland's high dependence on imported oil and its strong domestic situation.
