€8.5m funding announced under Technology Transfer Initiative

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheal Martin has announced €8.5m in funding to maintain and improve links between research and the commercial sector in Ireland.

The money is being made available under the €30m Technology Transfer Initiative.

It will go towards the appointment of a number of specialists in Universities around the country who will to spearhead the drive to commercialise ideas generated in colleges.
