12% increase in overseas trips

The number of overseas visits by Irish residents in the year 2006 was 6,848,000, compared with 6,113,000 in 2005, an increase of 12%.

The number of overseas visits by Irish residents on Continental European routes in 2006 increased by 21% on 2005.
