IBEC optimistic about industry jobs

IBEC, the group that represents Irish business, today said that despite concern about growing job losses in industry in early 2007, the latest data from the CSO indicate that the sector showed some improvement last year.

New CSO figures report that output from the manufacturing sector grew by 4.8% in 2006, the strongest annual improvement in four years.
