The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in bouyant mood jumping 88.96 points to 9700.79 by 11.45 this morning.
All the financial institutions enjoyed good fortunes this morning. AIB rose 43c to €23.40. Bank of Ireland gained 29c to €17.96, with Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Life and Permanent both rose 7c to €16.15 and €21.62 respectively.
