Passenger rise boosts easyJet profit outlook

Low-cost airline easyJet upgraded its forecast for annual profits today following a better-than-expected boost in passenger numbers.

Last month easyJet estimated a rise of between 40% and 50% on last year, but it now believes it will be “slightly ahead” of those expectations.
