The ISEQ index of Irish shares fell 8.02 points to 8215.82 in morning trading today.
Paddy Power saw the most significant slide of the day, down 37c to €14.43. The slide follows a global tumbling of shares in gaming companies which are pure-play internet sites or offer that facility.
