Vodafone joins UK broadband market

Mobile phone giant Vodafone said today that it will offer its millions of UK customers high-speed internet connections in the home.

Vodafone said it will enter the fixed-line broadband market “before the end of the year” after striking a deal with BT.

The package will offer Vodafone’s 16.2 million UK customers bundled packages of mobile and broadband services and follows similar moves by rival groups such as O2 and Orange.
