Allied Irish Bank increased its interest rates by a quarter of 1% in response to the latest rise in the European Central Bank's main lending rate.

Allied Irish Bank increased its interest rates by a quarter of 1% in response to the latest rise in the European Central Bank's main lending rate.

The bank says the changes will come into effect from close of business tomorrow.
