The ISEQ index of Irish shares got the week off to a sluggish start this morning and was down 12.49 points to 7503.79 by 11.25am.
Most of the financial heavyweights were in negative territory. Anglo Irish Bank fell 30c to €11.90, Irish Life and Permanent fell 18c to €18.42 and Bank of Ireland fell 4c to €13.91.
