The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in buoyant form this morning gaining 71.09 points to 8046.89.
The financial sector all contributed to these gains. AIB rose 36c to €19.79, Bank of Ireland rose 29c to €15.57, Anglo Irish Bank gained 20c to €13.52.
