ISEQ slips into red
The ISEQ index of Irish shares slipped into the red today, although it stayed above the 8,000 barrier it breached yesterday.
At the end of day's trading the Dublin Stock Exchange was down 14.82 points to 8003.4.
The financials enjoyed mixed fortunes today. Irish Life and Permanent made further gains, rising 17c to €18.92.
Anglo Irish Bank fell 9c to €13.43 following the announcement that Patricia Jamal today retired as a director of the bank. AIB also fell, slipping 3c to €19.24.
Bank of Ireland remained stable at €15.40.
Elsewhere oil stocks experienced losses, with Tullow Oil falling 11c to €4.79 and Dragon Oil slipping 1c to €3.05.
Low-budget airline Ryanair rose 7c to €7.82.
