Gardaí have reportedly asked shops and off-licences in Dublin city centre to restrict alcohol sales this St Patrick's Day.

Reports this morning said all retail outlets were being asked not to sell alcohol in the city centre until after 4pm on March 17 in an effort to combat public drunkenness.
