New Irish website smelling of roses
A new Irish website is offering customers the chance to save ‘scents’ this Valentine’s day.
Online retailer www.perfumeireland.com, is the first Irish dedicated site in the marketplace, stocking more than 9,000 beauty and skincare products from almost 350 different brand names including Gucci, Burberry, Bvlgari, Mac, Clinique, Boss, Estee Lauder and Gillette.
Website chief Shane Barron claims that his customers, which include both men and women, can save more than 20%.
“Customers tend to try the products in high street stores and then purchase from us,” says Mr Barron. “A lot of our products are at least 20% cheaper than the high street store.”
Mr Barron set up the company following research into the buying patterns of both men and women in the modern Irish economy.
“Women now have better paying jobs than 10 years ago and hence more disposable income,” said Mr Barron. “They aren’t afraid to spend it – and why not spend it on products for themselves?
“There is also a growing market for men, who tend to look after themselves a lot more nowadays.”
The company also intends to introduce a loyalty scheme in the near future.
“We have a loyal base of returning customers,” say Mr Barron. “This is good for us and these customers will be rewarded.
“We are a small company, but we want our customers to return.”
