ESRI seeks Govt action to cool property market

The Government's economic think tank has warned that rising house prices and an overdependence on the building industry are putting the Irish economy at risk of recession.

In its latest medium-term review of Ireland's economic prospects, the Economic and Social Research Institute said it expected strong economic growth in the coming years.
