The ISEQ index of Irish shares finished the day in negative territory, down 23.23 points to 7129.49.
It was a mostly bad day for the financials. Bank of Ireland suffered the heaviest losses, down 27c to €13.39. Irish Life and Permanent fell 10c to €16.85, AIB slipped 4c to €17.95 and Anglo Irish Bank recorded no change, staying at €12.00.
