The ISEQ index of shares added 80.09 to close at 6940.77 today as financial and construction stocks made strong gains.
Among the financials, Irish Life & Permanent led the charge, adding 35c to close at €15.65. Bank of Ireland was up 26c to €13.37, AIB added 23c to close at €18.56, while Anglo Irish was up 12c to €11.78.
