The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended the week on a positive note rising 56.71 points to 6806.6.
A good showing by the financial stocks reflected these gains. Both AIB and Anglo Irish Bank rose 18c to €17.36 and €11.23 respectively. Irish Life and Permanent jumped 25c to €15.55 while Bank of Ireland rose 12c to €13.02.
